Tassie Tails began with a simple journey that turned into something much deeper.

We arrived in Tasmania as backpackers, drawn by seasonal work and a sense of adventure. What we found was a place that stayed with us its raw landscapes, unique wildlife, and strong sense of community. Over time, Tasmania became more than a destination. It became home.

Tassie Tails was born from that connection.

We create handcrafted beanies and accessories inspired by Tasmania’s native wildlife, using 100% ethically sourced Tasmanian merino wool. Designed for the island’s ever-changing climate, each piece is made to provide warmth, comfort, and durability while remaining lightweight and breathable.

Every item is locally made and carefully finished by hand, combining traditional techniques with a modern approach. This ensures each piece is unique, with a strong focus on quality and craftsmanship.

Our goal is to create more than just products. Tassie Tails offers wearable pieces that reflect Tasmania’s identity meaningful, functional, and deeply connected to place.
